Labor Day Weekend at Ussery Road, SC

Grandpa and Grandma Sawyer

The boys (Ben, Danny, and Alex)

Danny (Ben's father) has done very well after the two surgeries on his liver and brain tumors. The several rounds of radiation and the chemotherapy for his brain cancer have shown very positive results as well. As he continues to go through his medical treatment, we are thinking about him. We are proud of his strength and courage, he is greatly admired!

And who could forget about Olivia (my neice)!

Maternity Photo Session

Here are a few pregnancy shots from our photo session.
Our photographer was Angela Wilson and we really enjoyed our session with her
(completely sober on a very humid August morning)!

Link below will give you information on Angela

Below this post are the mehendi pregnancy photos, I know lots of pics!

okay here are the mushy belly shots ...

And since we have no pictures of us smooching during our wedding because of the strict code enforced at the Marriott ...

Maternity Mehendi

I couldn't resist...Mehendi on the pregnant belly.
I'm approximately 32 weeks pregnant here ... but I'm not counting
(I still need more time, you know me)!

And yes that is Boo, who Ben thinks is the real father!

My sister did the mehendi on my hand (she is so artistic) and I got the mehendi on my belly done at the Indian salon. The Indian lady said (envision a cute little Indian lady accent) "your stomach keeps moving, so it hard for me to do the design." I found out that mehendi turns out darker on your hands and feet because that area of the skin contains more keratin vs. your stomach.

For more information on the body chemistry behind henna and the history of pregnancy mehendi, check this link:

Our 08' trip

It came together and we made it to India in November ... we also got to see Paris as well.
We offically had our European tour (24 hours that is).

This is the look that says "what are we doing here at 2am?"
The bus, metro, and rail shut down on us,
and we couldn't locate an ATM to pay a cabbie,
it was a cold, wet walk back to our hotel room. But all worth it.

India -
A very special thank you to my amazing relatives who were such incredible hosts and looked out for all of us!

Elephants, camels, monkies ... were more reliable then the bus, train, or metro.

Here are a few of my favorites. My photo website is still under construction, but I have posted Paris pictures and hopefully India will be up shortly. Click the link to see addtional pictures:

COLDPLAY...

Oh ya, we got to see Coldplay last night in Phillips Arena.
While I'm not a fan of Phillips Arena, seeing Coldplay from our box was INCREDIBLE!

Yes "the money box seats" were pretty amazing. Thanks Sutherland (Ben too)!

P.S. Gummie bracelets are making a come-back. Check out the bracelets from last night's show.

The wicked-witch of South Kackalackie

Not only does Ben enjoy shopping at CVS for his gum, but his cosmetic goods too.
